Monster Mania: Myths, Legends, Drawings and more

  A s I was rummaging through some old images on my phone I found these images I did last year during a project for my art class. So I thought since this is a blog with art I thought best to show some😅 hope you like them .

A s I said in a previous post I was gonna do more on lesser known dragon classes,well this is one of those. In this post I'll be talking about the largest and occasionally docile (most of the time until provoked) Leviathan class dragons.  These immense beasts are by far the largest of the classes and have been given this name due to it and also because of the mighty Monster "Leviathan" (check previous post on his history and origins), but unlike him are fairly more docile and calmer of their dragon kin but will attack if (as I previously said) provoked . The size estimates on these creatures can vary but one thing stays the same they're big even by most dragon standards .Some are no bigger than a small submarine, while other big enough for being mistaken as a small island.They live in mainly cold waters like that of ...

Leviathan (/lɪˈvaɪ.əθən/; Hebrew: לִוְיָתָן, Livyatan) is a creature with the form of a sea serpent from Jewish belief, referenced in the Hebrew Bible in the Book of Job, Psalms, the Book of Isaiah, the Book of Amos; it is also mentioned in the apocryphal First Book of Enoch. The Leviathan of the Book of Job is a reflection of the older Canaanite Lotan, a primeval monster defeated by the god Baal Hadad. Parallels to the role of Mesopotamian Tiamat defeated by Marduk have long been drawn in comparative mythology, as have been wider comparisons to dragon and world serpent narratives such as Indra slaying Vrtra or Thor slaying Jörmungandr,but Leviathan already figures in the Hebrew Bible as a metaphor for a powerful enemy, notably Babylon (Isaiah 27:1), and some 19th century scholars have pragmatically interpreted it as referring to large aquatic creatures, such as the crocodile. D ragons are by far the most recognised monster we know of. But did you know of they have different classes for them?(note all information from this article onwards is speculative biology. ) Good day/night to you and I like to say that today's topic is  from a friend of mine,who wishes to know of the different classes of Dragons we known today and as you can see there are many types around.( as see down below).  Also I will not be talking about the HTYD franchise(How to Train Your Dragon) dragon classes (p.s most dragon eggs are tough shelled so the making of said eggs takes longer and requires more energy than is needed).                                                                    But ☝️ I'll be talking about these Six classes of Dragons     And so without further ado let's start our journey ...
